The First day I saw Krishna, I didn’t want to be friends with him. He’s huge and sturdy, very serious from his looks with a burning cigarette in his hand. He took my seat, next to the driver. He was the one who started the conversation and till today we haven’t stopped. I have learnt not to go by looks of a person.
Krishna had just broken up with his girlfriend. They were in a relationship for almost 8 years by then. Everybody called them the Best pair. Infidelity is the villain. He was very upset. Though he pretended to be alright from outside, he was heart broken. That is when we became very close to each other. We used to talk for hours on the phone until the wee hours of the dawn. During the same time, his father fell ill several times and he also got his sister married. He was very strong. He never showed his sorrows to anybody. He would always share his feelings with me.
Many a time’s people have asked me if we were in a relationship, but it was pure friendship. We went to movies, just both of us. We were crazy about movies, we watched even the stupidest movie released, and the rule was we had to watch a movie every weekend. I wouldn’t tell anybody about this, especially Prabath. Probably I was scared that people would mistake our friendship. Obviously, like every other story, there was attraction, but it did not take long for me to overcome that feeling and move on with life.
We are still very good friends. He is happily married and has a loving wife. We still call up each other and have the strong friendship going.
